My name is Clive Pearce and I am a writer and poet. I run the company Tin Hut Tales Publishers and I have a passion for writing, especially poetry and humour.
When I was setting up Tin Hut Tales Publishers, I stumbled across the concept of bringing together people from different creative backgrounds into one place. Whilst searching the internet it became clear that groups within a specific genre were not communicating with each other, for example: writers; illustrators; editors; designers; printers, the list became endless. Further research into the creative community, revealed a similar story for other genres.
Within the UK Arts Directory with my business partners Donna Phillips and Netty Turner we have brought together groups of people and built the genres to allow our users to find the complete package, especially if they were starting an arts project.
After initiating the UK Arts Directory we have built on the concept and added to our community a category list of bloggers, jobs and news. After a meeting with SoundCloud we added a feed to blog out their website which included an audio link to help us share content . We are developing our website and brand and we are now in the process of creating our own distinctive style.

We have 8 other Directories registered and waiting to be constructed and launched for the future.
A financial contribution will help the development of these interactive directories and help the company to develop its concept and brand.
We have recently begun working with Nordoff Robbins the music charity. We are helping to build a relationship where we can promote their name and great charity work to our already impressive network.
As part of our development we want to support and financially help up and coming talent within the UK arts community. We are primarily a marketing tool and feel we are able to promote talent through our company network.
Each website will have its own specific network, but all our websites and networks will be able to interact and share information.
What We Need & What You Get
We are looking to raise £16, 000 through Indieogo.
We are looking to set up a small office and set it up with the necessary tools to help us develop the next 8 directories. We are also looking to use some of the funding to reach many more potential users in the UK.
We expect to spend;
Office, set up, equipment, computers and staff – £7000
Advertising and networking – £3000
Website development x 8 websites £6000
We are looking for funding to enable the company to develop its concepts over the next 3 to 4 months. This will enable the company the time to grow and initiate some of the great ideas that we have planned.
We have spent a great deal of time and effort building traffic to the site through our social media networks. We have from 12 to 16,000 unique visitors per week and a network of over 50, 000 people. Feedback has shown statistics that our network has users that visit our site 3 or 4 times a week.
Our aim is to build our network and improve on our visitor ratio.
Our perks are going to be generated from the Film, Music and Arts community. We have access to film sets; gigs; autographs; acting classes with award winning film makers; art exhibitions in London and signed copies of books from authors who are linked to us. We also have the opportunity to write, blog or interview some of the arts professionals we work with. As a growing company we will be creating opportunities for those with the same passion as us to get involved and work in a fascinating and exciting industry.

Being interactive with other individuals and businesses, means we can all have promotion and can also collaborate on projects in specific genres . We have experience in working with actors; film makers; musicians and writers, who blog for us weekly. These talented individuals share their contacts, knowledge and unique history. This contributes to our ever expanding network of unique and experienced individuals within the creative industry.
We have a jobs feed that is updated daily with the latest news from the arts community and beyond.
